Weekend Events Newsletter
[Custom Events Block]

This design leverages the custom events block and built-in offset options to display only the upcoming weekend events.
The newsletter is set to send on Wednesdays at noon. By setting the START offset to 2 days, the event window begins on Friday. Additionally, the END offset is set to add another 2 days, effectively ending the window on Sunday. As a result, the newsletter will feature only the events taking place from Friday to Sunday.
2-Column Layout
[OHT Columns Block]
This is an oft-requested layout that our engineering team has implemented: creating 2-column layouts in your newsletters with the OHT Columns Block.
This block was initially designed to allow placement of a sidebar of display ads that are currently running on a website. However, you are not restricted to just using the OHT Ads Block with a main post block.
In this quick demo we’ll show how to ad a Single Post Block, along with an Image in the sidebar. We’ll then create a second 2-column layout for the headings.
Creating your first 2-column layout
Adding Column Headings

Quick Tip
Once the OHT Columns Block has been used to generate a 2-column layout, it is removed from the flow. This prevents further editing of the layout itself, i.e. you can’t simply drag new blocks below one of the columns to add new content. In that case you would need to repeat the process using two content blocks (customer, single post, etc.) along with the Columns Block to generate an additional layout.
However you can click the Duplicate icon on a block in the layout to create a second copy below the first. This new block can then be styled with different content (of the same type of course). For instance a set of images can be placed in the right column with this method (as show at right).

Mini Navigation Block
[HTML Block]
SignalsAZ takes advantage of using custom code in the HTML block to create a stack of styled navigation links in their newsletter header.
We will look at how to create something like this in the Classic Editor in a more detailed post, but for our Showcase, the key point is that HTML can be used directly in your newsletters allowing for extensive customization and styling.
In this Signals AZ example, all of the header content is specified in the Classic-style editor, including the navigation stack at the bottom. This design utilizes a legacy theme, but we can reuse this design by simply copying the HTML code into the more visual drag-and-drop editor using an HTML block.

Image Headers
[Image Block]
The Western Ag Reporter has made striking graphical headers for their newsletter.
Our templates have a fixed width of 600px wide, so with this in mind, you can use your favorite design tool to create a 600x120px or so, adjusting the height to accommodate any text.
Drag an Image Block into your design, select it from the media library by clicking on the icon, and finally add a link, if you want to add navigation to the graphic.
The latter can be another funnel from your newsletter to a particular portion or category on your website!
