All of your Website Stats and analytics are available within our stat website, found at the following URL: https://stats.our-hometown.com/

You’ll need an account to login and access metrics for your website. If you do not already have an account, please Click Here to Request a Stats Account.

I. Locating Website Stats

A limited number of day to day stats are available right inside your WordPress Dashboard, on the WP-Piwik tab. However, to really dig in and obtain information that is useful for identifying traffic trends and the like, you’ll need to login to our Stats Website, powered by Matomo.

Once you’ve logged in, you’ll arrive at your stats dashboard. You’ll see some options across the top of the page, just under the blue Matomo bar.

If you are part of a group of newspapers that use our service, you’ll be able to switch back and forth between different websites using the dropdown box that contains your website’s name.

To the right of that is a calendar icon. The calendar icon is used to select a Date Range to generate stats from. By default, this date is always “today’s date.” However, you’ll often want to select a specific day, week, month, year, or other custom date range to see stats for a specific time period. Once you’ve selected a date range, all stats you see on the page will reflect that period.

The best place to get started is the Visitors → Overview page. This page contains the most commonly used metrics, such as visitors & unique visitors, pageviews & unique pageviews, average visit duration and more.

Another great place to explore is the Behaviour → Page Titles page. This page lists many of the same stats for individual articles and pages on your website, displayed by name.

Of course, there is a lot more information available within the Matomo stats platform, so login and take a look around!

The post Locating Website Stats first appeared on Our-Hometown.
