Multi-Site Publishing
Multi-site Publishing allows you to quickly and easily publish an article across your entire network of sites, saving you the time and trouble of logging into each site and publishing the same article several times. The same is true for editing an article — any time you make an update to an article, you can apply the changes to the websites as well.
Let’s take a look at how it works.
1. Publish Your Article – As you might expect, the first step is to publish your article on one of your sites.
2. Send to Sites – When your article is done, proofread, and published, you are ready to send it out to the rest of the sites on your network! Use the Multi-Site Publishing box on the right hand side of the Edit Article page to select which sites to send this article to. All other sites connected to your network will be listed with checkboxes.
Once this process is complete, you can login to any of the websites you selected and find that the article is now published there, maintaining the same properties as were set on the original: Title, Author, Publish Status, Categories, Breaking News, etc.
Meanwhile, back on the original article, you will be able to see the date/time the article was last updated on each website, as seen below.
3. Making Edits – Although the article has now been published across your network, it is not too late to make changes. You can always edit the article to correct errors or add new information. Just make sure to save your changes when ready by clicking “Update” in the Publish options box. Once the article is updated, you can broadcast the changes to the rest of the network by following the same process as we used to publish the article originally: Select the sites you want to update under Multi-Site Publishing, and click “Send to sites” again.
You’ll find that your updates have been made on all of the websites you selected!
