Uploading Special Section PDFs (Old Version)

Step 1.

Login to your website via the "login" button.

Navigate to "Content > Special Section Categories" via the "Site Settings" menu.

If you want to learn how to upload your Newspaper eEdition, click here.

Step 2.

Click the "Add Term" button at the top.

Step 3.

In the "Term Name" field, enter the name of the special section you want to add.

Term name's CANNOT contain any spaces.

For example:

OK:

  • WinterSportsPreview2016

Not OK:

  • Winter Spots Preview 2016

Leave "description" blank & click "save" at the bottom of the page.

Step 4.

Now go to "Content > Upload eEdition" from the Site Settings menu.

Step 5.

In the "Title" field, enter the name of your special section.

This title may contain spaces, unlike the "Term Name".

Step 6.

Use the "Choose File" button to select the PDF for the Special Section from your computer.

We recommend uploading the entire section as a single PDF file.

If you have multiple files, that is also ok, but you will have to complete the steps of naming & uploading the PDF files multiple times.

Make sure to remove any spaces from the file name of the PDF you are uploading.

Step 7.

Leave the "body" blank & scroll down to "PDF Categories".

Step 8.

Select the "Term Name" you created earlier.

Click "save" at the bottom of the page.

NOTE:

  • Uploading and processing the page may take some time, and the page may appear to become unresponsive.
  • Do not close the page.
  • You may however open the homepage in a separate tab.
  • When the PDF import completes, you will see a green success message at the top of the page.

Step 9.

If you're still not seeing your PDF on your website, you may need to flush your cache to get it to appear.

To do this, navigate to "Layout > Flush Caches" from the site settings menu.

Click "flush caches" and then refresh your site. All changes should now be visible.
